Trust God's Workmanship

You are the result of God’s flawless skill and judgment.  He made you on purpose.  God wants  you to trust him on this.

Moses and Aaron were brothers from the Israelite tribe of Levi.  God appointed Moses to be the leader of the Israelites and Aaron to be the Israelites’ high priest.  Korah was also from the tribe of Levi.  He resented Moses and Aaron and accused them of exalting themselves above the rest of the congregation (Num 16:3).

God had given Levites like Korah important work to do in caring for the Tabernacle, guarding it, and guarding those who worshipped there (Num 3).  Unwilling to accept God’s appointment, Korah and his companions rebelled against Moses and Aaron’s leadership.  In anger, God opened the earth to swallow Korah and those with him (Num 16:31,32).

God has given each of us unique gifts and characteristics.  He has given each of us a unique role.  He has made none of us to be inferior.

John tells us of a man who was born blind (Joh 9:1).  This man was not a failure or a mistake.  Jesus tells us he was born blind so that the works of God could be displayed in him (Joh 9:3), works that would be displayed when Jesus restored his sight (Joh 9:7).

In the end, who God made us to be is a secondary matter.  What matters is that we use what God has given us to His glory.  “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace.” (1Pe 4:10)

Don’t second-guess God’s decision to make you who you are.  Glorify God with who you are.  Then, you’ll be a success. -Paul
