"Beautiful Feet"- A Reflection on Romans 10:11–21

Have you ever bought a pair of shoes that looked amazing—until you saw a photo of yourself wearing them? Suddenly that “bold fashion choice” turns into a $60 regret collecting dust in the closet.

We care a lot about how our feet look. But God? He cares about where our feet go—especially when they’re carrying the good news of Jesus.

In Romans 10:11–21, Paul shows us what makes feet beautiful in God’s eyes. It’s not perfect arches or polished pedicures. It’s not even designer sandals. It’s the feet that bring the message of salvation.

Paul reminds us that:

  • The gospel is for everyone (Romans 10:11–13). No one is too far gone for grace. “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

  • The gospel must be shared (Romans 10:14–15). People can’t believe in Jesus if they’ve never heard of Him—and they can’t hear unless we go and tell. “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”

  • Not everyone will respond (Romans 10:16–17). Some hearts will be hard. But our job is to plant the seed and trust God with the harvest.

  • God is still reaching out (Romans 10:18–21). Many of the Jews rejected the message, even after hearing it. Yet God continues to hold out His hands in patience and love.

So what does this mean for us?

It means we’re the messengers now. We don’t need a pulpit or a passport to share Jesus—we just need willing hearts and obedient feet. Every conversation, invitation, and act of kindness can carry the gospel further.

Let’s have beautiful feet in the way God defines it. Let’s go where He sends us. Let’s share His good news with joy, urgency, and faithfulness.

Because someone, somewhere, is waiting to hear the message… and it just might come through you.
